County to Announce Important Economic Development Milestone and $1.25 M Loan to Oakwood Village Company

CLEVELAND - Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald will be joined by the Mayor of Oakwood Village Gary Gottschalk, County Councilman Jack Schron, Oakwood City Council members, along with Swift Filters, Inc. owners Ned and Charles Swift, and their employees to make two significant announcements:
- Detailing an important economic development milestone highlighting the dramatic performance of the county’s revamped Department of Development; and
- The County’s award of a $1,260,000 loan to Swift Filters as an example of the county’s performance in economic development.
The loan will be used for the expansion and construction of a new plant and manufacturing facility. Once complete, the new facility will be more than triple the size of the current plant and create 36 new jobs. The estimated cost of the expansion project is more than $3.1 million.

A brief tour of the plant will follow. Architectural renderings of the new facility will also be available for viewing. Parking is available adjacent to the facility.
