Cuyahoga County: On Monday, August 6th, the Cuyahoga Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) kicks off Child Support Awareness Month with the 5th Annual StreetFest. StreetFest runs from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on East 17th Street, between Superior and Payne Avenues. This year’s theme for Child Support Awareness Month is “Support your children. Support their dreams.”
StreetFest draws child support partners from throughout Cuyahoga County. Over forty partners will participate, offering helpful information to anyone impacted by child support. Among the participants are: Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Cuyahoga County Fatherhood Initiative. Partners provide information for parents while other activities designed to entertain children take place. Face painting, games, and prizes for kids are all part of StreetFest fun.
In addition to the StreetFest, CSEA will team up with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland for free child support seminars during August. CSEA representatives will be on hand to assist those parents who owe child support. The seminars will provide information and options for individual issues and provide information on CSEA services.
