Ohio Counties to Host Public Hearings on Turnpike Issue

CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald is
encouraging residents to attend three upcoming public hearings scheduled to
take place throughout the State of Ohio during the months of July and August.
The public hearings are being held to gather public input and opinion on the
potential leasing of the turnpike. The hearings are free and open to the public
and will be held in Lorain, Lucas and Mahoning counties. Cuyahoga County
Executive Ed FitzGerald stated, “It is very important that residents have an
opportunity to express their concerns about this issue to the State.”
The first public hearing is scheduled to be held in Lorain
County on July 17, 2012 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at The Transportation Center, 40
East Avenue, Elyria, Ohio 44035. The
second hearing is scheduled for July 25 in Lucas County and the third in
Mahoning County. Additional
details on the Lucas County and Mahoning County public hearings will be
available in the near future.
