CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald is encouraging residents to attend three upcoming public hearings scheduled to take place throughout the State of Ohio during the months of July and August. The public hearings are being held to gather public input and opinion on the potential leasing of the turnpike. The hearings are free and open to the public and will be held in Lorain, Lucas and Mahoning counties. Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald stated, “It is very important that residents have an opportunity to express their concerns about this issue to the State.”

The first public hearing is scheduled to be held in Lorain County on July 17, 2012 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at The Transportation Center, 40 East Avenue, Elyria, Ohio 44035.  The second hearing is scheduled for July 25 in Lucas County and the third in Mahoning County.  Additional details on the Lucas County and Mahoning County public hearings will be available in the near future.
